Packaging Perfectionism
by: Yanko Design, 2012-01-12 09:49:33 UTC
Does it really matter how you tape your boxes shut? Not really, unless you add some cool hinges to the design, or go off-center like how I usually do. But if you are perfectionism personified, then you must really crave for neatness while sealing stuff. So how about the Center Tape? I know you’ll really dig it!
Center Tape is a 2011 red dot design concept winner.

‘Go Green’ is a slogan that has been embraced tightly by many designers. There is a sea of products available in the market that come dipped in environmentally-friendly traits, which in turn help keeping the surroundings away from the clutches of pollution. Bracketron has come up with an all new line of GreenZero chargers that will help save energy and money. Christened the Mushroom and Stone chargers, these will juice up mobile gadgets in a clean and green way.
GreenZero Chargers
The latest GreenZero line of chargers has an impressive facade and will be available in two models featuring an embedded cable and an Apple 30 pin cable. The line of chargers can be used to charge iPhones, microUSB and USB devices. Normally, chargers keep working even after the device has been charged, which wastes a lot of energy. But, these chargers and battery will help save energy by shutting off automatically when the gadget has been fully charged. It will eliminate stand-by energy consumption and will also be able to detect if the device to be charged has been unplugged.

The Mushroom GreenZero charger has an ergonomic design that makes it stand out of the crowd. The charger is compatible with microUSB, USB connections and iDevices (an Apple 30-pin cable). The Stone GreenZero charger has a sleek as well as compact design, which can be used to charge mobile devices with the the help of USB. Apart from these chargers, the line also consists of the Stone battery that will be made available for iDevices and microUSB devices. The pocket sized battery will give three hours of charge, offering a 100mAmp power supply. The portable option also has an LED indicator that will let you know when the device is fully charged.
GreenZero battery and chargers will save enough energy and have a pleasant outer skin. These will be released later this month at the CES in Las Vegas. The Stone charger will come stashed with a price tag of $22.56 while the Mushroom charger will cost $24.95-$29.28.

Nikita Sharma:
A new electrical concept from Design Practice (UDESC) named as Dishwasher ‘ET’ has been launched, which will be helpful in dish washing. Dishwasher ET is electrical equipment, which helps to clean up dirt from dishes and wash out stain from utensils. The concept appears to reduce efforts to clean up dishes before crucial rubbing. It removes the debris from steel pans and utensils. The unit also polishes pans and helps to clean up the mess where your normal hand cleaning cannot reach.

The main advantage of the concept is that it will eliminate the efforts to clean up dishes before rubbing the wool to remove the debris stuff. Its advance formula will work on areas where normal cleaning would not reach.
Dishwasher ET comprises two main parts: one is the central base and the other one is the pen, which has spraying detergent part and contact to the dishes through bushes. The central base will charge the battery and once you close the lid, a UV light will appear and sterilization will happen. Pen is designed in such an ergonomic way that it will function in three different ways by moving in all different directions. You can also rotate the sponge by using on and off buttons on the pen drive and will work faster than your hands.
The design of ET is adept to various types of users and has anatomical and anthropometric variations. Although, the pen is having a slight angle of women But most important thing is that sponge could have some more adjustable angles which could have helped in washing the dishes in more efficient way. The management of the system is pretty good and you will save a lot of your time, energy and it will work in more efficient way than your hands.
