The italian company Poltona Frau reconceived quality furniture with a do-it-yourself version. Sold dismantled inside a beautifully, elegant packaging and it’s eight parts are easily assembled at home. The structure is made of beechwood and the seat is covered in handsewn leater, the trademark of the company. The padding is ergonomically optimized.
The Viking chair shows how interior furnishings appeal increasingly to a wise and modern public that accepts new, more sustainable styles of selling and use, without concessions to quality materials. Designed in 1990 it was way before IKEA reached the mainstream.
