Biofiber

BIOFIBER Wheat is created from a rapidly renewable agricultural resource, wheat-straw, which offers a rich golden alternative to traditional hardwood or panel products. The resins are natural and no VOC’s are emitted.

BIOFIBER is extremely versatile and can be used in a variety of decorative interior applications.

Through the growth period of the wheat used, an extremely large amount of carbon dioxide is removed from the atmosphere. Because of the unique composition and manufacturing process of BIOFIBER™ wheat, more carbon dioxide is removed during the wheat’s growth cycle than is produced during the harvest and manufacturing of the product. The result is a negative contribution in Global warming category of the calculation. This large negative contribution off sets the environmental impacts associated with harvesting, manufacturing, and transportation of the product resulting in a total impact value that is negative. Remember, the lower the score the better.

What Does BIOFIBER ™ Look Like?

  • A smooth surface, fine fiber pattern and golden-yellow hues distinguish this material from other fiber and composite panel products.
  • The pattern and natural color run throughout the thickness of the material.
  • A wide range of color options is possible through custom staining.
