Sustainability Aspects: putting sustainable materials, processes or products in the spotlight

The Story

material cafe

The Materials Cafe 2012 is calling for suppliers, manufacturers, designers, and researchers that want to put their sustainable materials, processes or products in the spotlight. The Materials Cafe is a creative show for materials at the Hanover Fair from April 23 through 27, 2012. This is not only a place with a lot of look-and-feel but also takes a closer look at where materials come from, how they are processed, and how things are made featuring live Material Slams, a materials exhibition, inspiring lectures, and great coffee.

The show includes Material Slam, an interactive workshops where young designers are meeting with experienced manufacturers to brainstorm about new ideas for materials, and Best of Materials, an exhibition that brings together an overview of the latest developments in ceramics, light metals, modern steels, composites and more.

Materials Café

Authoritative information, inspiring mindsharing and close coverage of a fascinating topic: This sums up the action at the Materials Café, which will take place during Industrial Supply, as part of HANNOVER MESSE 2012. This showcase covers the world of materials in all its complexity, from intelligent surfaces and nanotechnologies to smart materials, lightweight materials and composites.

Thanks to its lounge ambience, the Materials Café is perfect for face-to-face dialogue. Professional moderators lead roundtable discussions on the hottest topics in the materials sector today. Visitors can check out new materials and discover more about their many and varied uses.
