Loop By the Yard is a reversible, textile-like material for a myriad of do-it-yourself projects. Available in 44 inch (112 cm) wide continuous yardage, each order ships with a prepaid envelope for returning scraps or the actual project (when no longer wanted or needed) back to MIO for recycling. Loop By the Yard is made from Tyvek®, a spun-bonded, high-density polyethylene non-woven. This material has been actively collected and recycled for decades. Today MIO is employing this existing recycling infrastructure to complete and test a closed recycling loop. Loop By the Yard can be cut, sewn, wrinkled, folded, pierced, hung or hemmed like a textile. It is durable, breathable and waterproof, making it ideal for a variety of indoor and outdoor projects.
MIO also makes and sells products made from their own closed loop material. Jackets and other products come with a pre-paid envelope so that it can be returned for recycling. The spun bonded olefin is then recycled into plastic lumber for decks and other weather resistant outdoor and construction products.
Loop Jacket is a lightweight and colorful windbreaker that is sure to get you noticed. The simple construction and material makes for very compact carrying and an almost not there feel when you wear it. As the jacket gets used it wrinkles becoming softer to the touch building a soft patina. Each jacket comes with a sewn on envelope for shipping the jacket back to MIO at end of life for recycling
