Sustainability Aspects: increasing value and flexibility for the user by design in interaction

digital taps

Never again getting a flush of cold water over you when you jump in the shower. Grohe has gone digital with its showers so now you can hang the control out of the shower line.

The control itself shows you with LED’s how hot the water is.

This makes showering more of an interactive play. The result is a future-oriented bath which reduces consumption of natural resources. It closes the gap between mechanical and digital technology and, at the same time, lends them a new aesthetic appeal.

The Red Dot’s jury’s rationale
In the jury’s opinion, Grohe Digital achieves a smooth transition from mechanical to digital operation of the fittings in a very simple, easy-to-use way. At the same time, it is characterised by the high quality of its materials and its user-friendliness. The geometric form of concentric circles, which is both aesthetically pleasing and efficiently designed, makes for ease of use and immediately informs the user of temperature and water flow settings.
