Building with re-usable bricks; the ClickBrick just like LEGO

Sustainability Aspects: Usually buildings are demolished and end up in landfills or under new highways. Now buildings can be taken apart brick by brick and the bricks can be used for new buildings.

Bricklaying clickbrick

ClickBrick is a Cradle to Cradle certified brick. It is used in more or less the same way as Lego-bricks. Even people without bricklaying experience can built a wall, connecting bricks with clips. This new dry stack system provides a smooth and colour intensive elevation that can be easily and quickly built. Or taken apart after the building served its life and the bricks can be used for a new building.

From an aesthetic point of view, the main difference between brickwork or glued bricks and ClickBrick® is the percentage of the wall surface consisting of joints. Only a minimal shadow or false joint is visible, resulting in an exclusive and colour intensive elevation. The pure colour, form and structure of the wall surfaces show to their best advantage without any distracting joints.

You do not need expert knowledge to build using ClickBrick®. This is an important advantage over bricklaying or gluing since we are currently suffering from a lack of professionals. This clean and dry stack system requires no special tools or additional treatment. The bricks are simply stacked and fixed into place with a rubber hammer while the corresponding stainless steel clips ensure a solid bond between the bricks. The quantity and location of special wall ties is similar to those of traditional brickwork. The application of expansion joints, frame connections and corner flashings is also uncomplicated. In addition, you can remove the scaffolding immediately after stacking. ClickBrick speeds up construction compared to bricklaying or gluing. Long-lasting results are assured due to mortar and water not being required.

ClickBrick® helps architects benefit from the unique added value of aesthetic qualities and cost benefits in use. In addition, this external wall cladding is low in maintenance due to the lack of joints. After all, joints are the primary cause of technical and visual aging of external walls and all associated costs.
