FEIT was founded in 2005 as a response to a mass produced, bottom line driven industry. An industry disconnected from the traditional art of shoe making.
All FEIT products are made by hand using natural materials. They work with the finest suppliers and craftsmen in the world. No chrome or harmful chemicals are used in the making and tanning process. FEIT exists of a small team of shoemakers trained in the art of traditional shoe making, coupled with some of the finest tanneries in the world.
In 2010 they opened up the factory and its services directly to individual customers and retailers throughout the world via an online platform – feitdirect.com
There are no Middlemen!
HOW IT WORKS?
Every month they email images of the latest samples to their members who have 10 days to request “MAKE ME A PAIR”.
Each sample is subject to MAXIMUM CAPACITY – the maximum number of shoes that can be made based on our material stock levels, usually around 20 pairs.
Once maximum sales is reached, production begins.
If members respond well to the style but capacity remains, the REMAINING CAPACITY is made available to the general public for Pre Order. So there is a ‘re-print’.
Working like this there is never unsold stock and they are able to sell hand sewn shoes for around 250 euro a pair.And if you are a true fan of theirs; they do also made to measure, not for the same price of course
